While participating in a literary magazine in my youth, I happened upon a poem, and the final line of that poem stuck with me:
“Mankind lives – desperate in an effort to be.”
Even at the time, it made me realize that we’re all in a process to discover and express our truest identity – a process that I would explore first hand, as I first became a writer and reporter for a news station, then a DJ, then a program director, then VP of marketing for a large Los Angeles area retailer, then an enterprise management consultant, then a sales VP for a graphics company, general manager of a record label, non-profit management consultant, founder of two non-profits, then a nonprofit executive, and finally – a coach.
As I have continued to grow professionally, I’ve learned more about who I am – my strengths and my weaknesses, my choices and my identity. I learned that there was a calling out there that was waiting for me. I came to understand the importance of change, growth, and transitions. I began to recognize that there is a difference between life and living, and I learned that my place in the world was helping others navigate these transitions both personally and professionally.
I became a coach to help others live their deepest, truest beings in their professional and personal lives, and I am proud to have worked with some of the leading business minds in Northern California, turning my dream and passion into one that can help others reach their own.
